Today’s vehicles have sophisticated starting and charging systems with multiple and various types of batteries. Performing tests on and servicing these systems can be a challenging task for the technicians and often requires assistance if the proper tool is not readily available.

The Midtronics DSS-5000 HD is the most advanced battery, starter, and alternator service tool that I have used. This tool allows the technician to quickly perform and analyze various battery, cable, and live starting and charging system circuit tests without assistance from peers. The test results are stored for technicians to review, print, or e-mail later for repair order and warranty documentation. This is a must-have tool for any technician maintaining the various types of light, medium, and heavy On Highway, Off Highway and Agricultural vehicles.
